Please join University of Texas professor, world-renowned attachment researcher and Austin IN Connection Board member Dr. Debby Jacobvitz for a two-day seminar exploring the Adult Attachment Interview and its applications to psychotherapy.

This seminar will review the Adult Attachment Interview (AAI) and general principles of the Adult Attachment classification system.  We will also explore the relation between an adult's attachment status and his or her ability to express thoughts and feelings and form meaningful relationships as well as the association between different forms of attachment insecurity and clinical symptomatology.

A considerable portion of the seminar will be devoted to providing clinicians with ideas about how to listen to and help patients who display secure, dismissing, or preoccupied states of mind or who are unresolved with respect to loss and/or abuse.

If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Shannon Huggins, LCSW, BCD at shannon@austininconnection.org.
