How ADHD, Trauma, and Sensory Processing Intertwine
Join us for a unique workshop that will dive deep into how ADHD, trauma, and sensory processing interact and affect each other. Hosted by Austin’s own ADHD experts, Anita Robertson, LCSW and Carrie Comstock, OTR, MOT, they’ll guide us in an interactive hands-on learning experience designed to explore fresh insights to best help our ADHD clients.
Anita Robertson is a skilled therapist that specializes in working with ADHD adults. She’s a reputable speaker among ADHD advocates, and an active member of the Austin community. Carrie Comstock is an experienced occupational therapist whose methodology is based in neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based practices.
Together, they make up a dynamic duo that unites their professional expertise to provide greater holistic education for helping professionals. Bringing each of their backgrounds together offers broader insight to how ADHD brains work, and what support they need.
In the same way that these two work alongside each other, psychotherapists and occupational therapists would both benefit from this training considerably. It will illuminate different aspects of care and provide understanding on different techniques we use in each of our fields. As helping professionals, we’re all in community and can learn a lot from each other.
