LIFE AFTER: Sundance Award-Winning Documentary Screening + Discussion
The Sundance-award winning documentary, LIFE AFTER, directed by Reid Davenport, is coming to Austin Film Society on July 30 at 7:30 PM!
Presented by AINC, this screening is followed by a talkback with director Reid Davenport and disabled psychologist David Younger, moderated by our President, Nadia Bakir. If you can’t attend in person, virtual viewing will be available after.
Multitude Films, LIFE AFTER is a gripping personal investigation that exposes the fault line of systemic ableism and personal autonomy. Director Reid Davenport asks a probing question: why is it acceptable to give disabled people the means to die, before supporting them in the chance to live?
Accessibility: Open Captions, Audio Description, and Q&A ASL interpreters. See venue website for ADA information.
There will be three screenings:
- Wednesday, July 30th at 7:30 pm IN-PERSON at Austin Film Society
- Thursday, July 31st at 8 pm (VIRTUAL)
- Saturday, August 2nd at 4 pm (VIRTUAL)
