I'm Amanda Dishner, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Supervisor in Austin, Texas, with fourteen years of experience working at the intersection of attachment, perinatal mental health, and relational healing. Attachment theory isn't just a clinical framework for me, it's the lens through which I understand nearly everything: how we bond with our children, how we repair ruptures in our partnerships, how early experiences shape the nervous system, and how safe relationships become the ground from which we grow. I bring this lens to my work with individuals, couples, and new parents, as well as to the LMFT Associates I supervise and the community workshops I facilitate. I'm especially passionate about the perinatal period as a window of profound neurobiological and relational transformation, for the parent and the family system as a whole. I'm always glad to be in community with others who take that seriously.
