Kris is a licensed clinician with over thirty years of experience in behavioral health and more than twenty years specializing in equine-assisted and nature-based therapy. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed, attachment-oriented care, with a strong emphasis on somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and relational safety. Horses are central to Kris’s clinical approach. Through experiential work with the herd, clients are supported in developing embodied awareness, practicing consent and boundaries, and cultivating attuned connection. Nature and the horse–human relationship provide a regulating, nonverbal context that supports gentle healing and meaningful insight. Kris integrates evidence-based practice with somatic and mindfulness-informed modalities, honoring the client’s inner wisdom and capacity for growth. Her work reflects a deep respect for connection—between body and mind, self and other, and the natural world—as a foundation for healing and transformation. Kris is a Licensed Chemical Dependancy Counselor and a Certified Natural Lifemanship Practitioner and Equine Professional. She is a practitioner of Relational Awareness, and has trained with Luminous Awareness Institute, PATH International, and EAGALA.
